Is it a good time to switch jobs

I left my job about a year ago to relocate, make sure it was the right decision and start a side business in the mean time. Now I’m actively looking for a new sales position, have tons of experience, but am struggling to even get a response from job apps. I am wondering if this is because of my employment gap? I don’t have my side business listed on my resume because I don’t feel like I have enough positive “stats” to report yet given it’s new. Any advice or recommendations?

My company blames my generation for not being able to hire everyday. “You guys don’t want to work” coming from some overweight, racist, old coaster. I’ve barely taken any days off this year and pick up “skeleton crew” days any chance I get. I was able to work out a deal with my company before I came because of prior experience luckily, but they offer a terrible base salary and sham of a commission structure to new hires + no remote. Who is hiring?

How would someone coming from mostly retail wireless sales get into the tech sales industry? I have been a top performer in every sales job that I have had since I started my career almost 10 years ago. I don't have a degree which I feel might be keeping me from getting my foot in the door but I know I would be amazing in this field. I currently work out in the field selling to customers that have no idea I am coming and I consistently perform at the top of my market.

I’m concerned that my latest job have been less than a year each on my resume but I’m at my wits end and need to start looking. Do you think I will be overlooked because of the length of time at each company?

I was interviewed for a major tech player in the hospitality industry, had 2 interviews which for the first one the recruiter was late, and didn't confirm the interview while I emaild her to make sure I do have an interview. When she attended she said that there was no point of responding my email as we are meeting anyway. Later on I had 2nd interview with the hiring manager. After 45 minutes she said they will let me know...

2 months later and I am still waiting...
