If your card is getting compromised on a regular basis it just may be a "you" problem and not a bank problem. Try not using your card at risky places or unknown websites. Take a better look at your habits that can lead to a security breach.
My advice is to always assume it’s a possibility. Know how to turn off the card and have emergency money in a completely different banking account. Nowhere is immune to compromise.
If your card is being compromised often, it’s more likely where you’re using your card. Are you using it online a lot, or in open WiFi such as an airport or coffee shop?

No someone hacked into my Apple account and used my card on there . While the tap feature is convenient it seems to be open to fraud a lot too.
There’s no good reason to ever use your debit card. Stick with credit cards as they have fraud protection. Never click links in emails, manually go to the webpage in your browser.
Treat any messages you receive with URGENCY or about MONEY (either in your favor or not) as scams.

A credit union has the most security. Any nearby credit union. I’ve never had money in a bank, always a credit union. Car loans, mortgage, the works. They even offer financial services if you need that.
VP1 you’re wasting your time. Somehow a rumor got started that small depositors are at risk of losing everything if they’re at a big bank. I think it started with some guy telling people to split your deposits amongst banks so that none are above the FDIC limit. I’ve talked to plenty of people who have no risk of being above $250k in deposits that think they have to flee the big banks for safety at a small bank and none can explain it. They just make things up like the thread above.
There is no such bank. Lock your credit and go about your day.
That’s why I love my capital one credit cards. I can use virtual numbers online so that my actual account numbers can’t be used across platforms.
So I used to have C1 360 debit as well until recently. They just forced a change from MC to Discover and I can’t use discover with Venmo, so I changed to a credit union for all of my in-person banking.
Tbf, I use credit cards for all purchases, and then pay the card from my bank account. It adds an extra layer of protection on any purchases, and C1 (for their credit cards) has a really good policy for any fraud, the need to use charge backs, etc.
The only thing I use my bank account for is to pay rent (it has an insane credit card fee) and other expenses that require ACH (car payments, credit card payments, etc.)
Compromised cards is a you problem.

Use a card with a low limit for risky purchases. Or use one time use card numbers (bank offer this to obscure your card number). Privacy dot com or something similar has good tips.
