I would want to know stipulations for paying out bonus even at target. I've worked with some orgs that appear to have high bonuses on paper, but have only paid out anything like three of the last five years because financial targets weren't met. Other organizations have less generous plans on paper but are basically designed to always payout at least at target
Obviously it’s discretionary, but word I received was it’s abnormal to not be paid at target. Other divisions with similar bonus targets are more discretionary (down AND up) based on results, which I guess it’s a trade off
Bonus paid out quarterly in cash as well which seems meaningful
overall numbers seem good, perhaps base could be higher, but that bonus target seems very generous for a large corporate.
Tbh seems like a way to skimp on base. But if this is MCOL or better then it works
MCOL SE. I tried to pump base a bit (at expense of bonus if needed) but was offered sign on instead. Seems like bonuses rarely if ever don’t pay out on target.
For what it’s worth, manager level at the firm has bonuses paid out quarterly in cash. At director and above a portion shifts to annual payout, but also start getting equity.
