$85k before super is a pretty good offer no matter what your degree is. That's around the market rate for boutique consultancies and a bit higher than the published Big 4 graduate salaries.
If you look at the 2022 Graduate Outcomes Survey, full-time graduate salaries were under $85k for *all* study areas except dentistry. (Even medicine graduates still have to do residency at lower salaries.)
The latest Australian Bureau of Statistics release of employee earnings said that the median salary for *all* employees with a bachelor degree as their highest qualification was $1500/week, or $78k/year. That was in August 2022, but even if you add 5% to that you'd still be earning a bit more money than the median, straight out of university.
A lot of graduates take the 50-60k job offer then get promoted/switch jobs to get a raise after a year or two. I was one of them. So, to get 85k straight out of uni is pretty good.
The minimum % for super is called the Super Guarantee, which you can search for on the internet.
Thats a good offer for undergrad.
Is this offer at ampol? Have a friend who's there in Syd and seems to enjoy it. Just for reference im going into general grad role and will earn 85k excl super if I get my small bonus at end of year.
