Public speaker/conversationalist

like

Yes

like

Love it

A conversationalist can probably adapt better depending on the social situation to get more information out of a particular conversation and learn from it so I would say a conversationalist

They don’t have to be mutually exclusive though

Skilled public speaker / conversationalist with some knowledge about the field >> expert with poor communication skill

What can I do outside the office to boost my resume and be a substantially more attractive candidate for top consulting firms in ~12 months time. Working in disputes and valuation role but want to go into management consulting next year (post MBA role). I feel like my job isn’t enough because skills aren’t considered as transferable outside this field.

Our team got a new manager last week. Today, he asked all of us to share our calendars with him. Reason he gave: he wants to forward some of our meetings to a new colleague so that she can join and learn.
What do you think about this? I find it intrusive and controlling. He could just ask us to invite her to calls.

My wife started as an M at Accenture earlier this year coming from industry. I’ve never worked at Accenture or any b4, but I had to explain to her how up or out works. She also didn’t know that she came in with 24 months at level and what that meant. Really surprised none of this was communicated during hiring or by her manager.

Hello fellow frequent fliers! Wife and I are stuck - we’re suppose to head to the UK in two weeks but have a feeling they might go back under restrictions / with so many cases we will likely catch covid and be there for extra time (test required to get back into the US) which wouldn’t be ideal so we’re brainstorming alternatives. What are your favorite places to visit within the US? For context we live in the South East so preferably somewhere besides here 😀
