What’s it like working for consulting 80% travel? Was contacted by EY not sure if it’s worth interviewing for?

Got through and selected for the EY GDS risk assurance team. They are offering me SC level 2. Please throw some light on EY GDS hierarchy and also how much CTC i should be asking from HR in negotiation.

I'm a woman working in a male-dominated organization. I'm also the newest member of the team. My coworkers have been given approval to travel to see customers, even internationally, but my boss won't let me. I've been held back in more ways than just travel & have even had accounts taken away from me & given to my male coworkers.

I discussed this unequal treatment with my boss 10 days ago, then abruptly yesterday I took a call from HR telling me that I was being let go.

Any leads for hiring?

I am so beyond ready to leave my current job, but can’t yet, since bonuses are paid out in January. 😬

In the meantime, I’ve applied to a lot of similar roles (slightly higher) but have not heard - good or bad - from any. Is it common for companies to slow down hiring in December because of Q4 rush, people on holiday, etc.?

Finally feeling an impact of the economy. My group/ firm has been hiring for 2 years non-stop, we just decided to slow down hiring. In addition, they are cracking the whip on folks not fully utilized to get them staffed. Trying to limit “weeks off” on the beach. :/.

I did a lateral transfer from one member firm to another last year. Didn’t ask a promotion because I thought all member firms have the same strict promo timelines, ~2 years for each level and I was a few months short. After I got here, I realised that most people in my level has got way less experience than me due to expedited promotion cycles. Should I “be loyal” and stick it out till I get promoted? or jump?
