What’s one financial habit or lesson you wish you had learned sooner in your research or clinical career?

I wish I would have started investing more sooner because my company matches and I believe it’s a 100% match .

I want to read Esperanza Rising to 5th grade mayb 4th. I might use the theme Equality not sure, but do you have resources, lessons, idea, etc? We do not service a large population of immigrants, but thought our kids could use a lesson about another perspective.

What do you do when you need a sub? What kinds of plans work best for subs in the Spanish classroom? I have needed subs lately and have found it hard to plan lessons that aren’t just busy work.

I got an email last night from a 7th-grade parent because her son said I mentioned the words "male privilege" in class, and she is very concerned about how that is related to ELA (she said "reading"), and she is concerned about this being taught in public schools. To be clear, I didn't do a lesson on this subject but we did discuss rights versus privileges. I've had multiple parents contact the school/get upset with me because of things like his. It's exhausting... Thoughts?

One key mistake I made while trying to get into PM was to tailor my resume bullet points towards *proving* I was a PM (I did user research! I defined the product vision!) vs. explaining what exactly I did. More lessons learned / tips and tricks 🔗 below.

On the topic of intimacy with partners… I’ve been with my boyfriend for 2 years and the past year his libido has dropped to zero. Mostly due to work stress (he says). Whenever I try to initiate, he always shuts me down and says he’s not in the mood. I even touch him and he gets hard but stops me as soon as I try to unzip him. Wanted to bring out that staff-1's are paid peanuts (3.33L CTC) please don't expect them to slog 12-13 hours. They don't have enough motivation or incentives to work that long. Seniors,AM's and Managers should be more kind and explain the work to them clearly rather than making last minute changes.

I’m looking to buy a full length mirror but I want one that is high-quality and accurate. Right now I have these cheap mirrors in my apartment where the image is distorted to make me look taller and skinnier. Well this has been fantastic for my self-esteem for the past few years it’s shocking when I see what I look like in a normal mirror that isn’t a “skinny mirror.” Anyone have suggestions for a full length large mirror I can hang on the wall that will be high quality and not break the bank?

I’ve worked in clinical research in the academic/non profit world for the past five years. I want to transition to a role in pharma or a CRO, but haven’t been successful yet because I don’t have industry experience. Does anyone know of any CROs/pharma companies that are willing to hire someone with research expertise from an academic medical center rather than already in industry? Thanks!

What is the correct path to obtain entry level positions in clinical research. My background is in health sciences and work experience has been 3 years as a clinical lab scientist.
