Pretty sure we win. >90 min biz for projects. Biz for overseas internal. Economy for internal domestic with standard practice to upgrade to biz and charge difference to project.
Any rank at EY can fly in business on >3h flights once you become a firm-designated frequent traveler. But honestly, it's better to not travel at all. :)
I'm aware that some people get pushback, but I've never had a problem. 🤷♂️
Cap will let you fly Business if you’re going between continents...and a VP. Otherwise, it’s steerage for you.
The good news is that they didn’t go down to UPS or Fedex for travel.
Cap’s travel policy is terrible. PE is allowed but it must be pre-approved. Any long term coast-to-coast projects usually result in people transitioning out. Although, I worked with a guy who because he was booking late enough out of ATL that the YBM fares were usually more than the F fare. He would often re-ticket into F and have a refund.
OP, that sucks.
Biz class makes all the difference, especially when it’s longer than 3-4 hours.
Confirmed BCG is most generous, including vs McK and Bain.
Same at PwC for manager and above. If you travel enough you can upgrade to business (once approved for the perk).
But the travel is not any less exhausting in business class.
In my experience biz class means I'm just tired, but not miserable. In economy I'm both.
7+ business class. I flew LA to U.K. fully reclined
Only partners can fly business domestically and that’s only if the flight is >4 hours I believe. We’re cheap. No surprise.
