I am graduating MBA in 2 weeks and have two offers on hand, one from Amazon in their Finance Leadership Development Program and another from Marcum LLP for Transaction Advisory Manager. I did summer internship at Amazon but worked at Deloitte in TAS befor MBA. what are your thoughts?? Which is a better one? Pay is pretty much same in both cases although Marcum has higher base pay

When do you know it’s time to move on? Been at the same company 6+ years, and killing my quota consistently (last 5 years 25%+ when team growth goals were 3-6%). Coworker just got promoted to sales manager because she got an MBA and now I have to report to her. I have double the years in sales on her and the success to back it up. Feels like a demotion since I previously reported to the director. Time to look elsewhere?

1. UBS mumbai as X amount, bonus as discretionary. Probation: 3mnth
2. @BP Pune as same X amount, bonus as 18% . Probation: 6month

Tax counsel jobs seem to be rare, compared to the more common tax senior analyst/manager/director roles. Anyone have any insight into compensation and whether companies put a premium on JDs? Looking at HCOL areas for 5-8 yrs of exp and want to understand reasonable salary bands.

I’m a newish Partner in a mid-sized firm. We have had different comp approaches (global pool, 70-30, 50-50 global /region) over the years. I learned that over the last 10-12 years the Americas have always been a contributor, Europe always a recipient, other regions mixed. It’s like $200k per NA partner a year, and we are now talking about reverting back to a global pool, meaning $400k+ yearly subsidies.

Is this level the norm in other firms? Any other firms have a wallet-suck region?

I'm clueless about  the job's current market valuIe in the UK. They will shoulder visa, ticket, 2mos accom while Iook for my apt .I'm relocating from UAE. I dont live a luxurious life. Ofcrse I want to be compensated fairly. What is a good salary range to nego that I will be able to save and live comfortably?

Poor hikes, delayed promotions, retention policy which is a sham.... Increase in take home salary per year that does not even beat the inflation.....
