Anyone who denies sales is luck of the draw sometimes is kidding themselves. We know which territories are harder but that doesn’t make it impossible- you have to be scrappy. Run sfdc reports for previous events, no shows, cancellations, upsell (if you can), work with your channel, and see if new companies opened up on zoominfo or LinkedIn. Will also come down to having a tight relationship with your field rep who can help point you in the right direction or give you a lay up every now and then
Also- the BDR role is very draining! There’s no shame in feeling down and stuck at times. Hang in there, don’t take it too seriously and let your creativity run wild with new approaches you can take :)

I’ve following a very similar approach, looking back at old messaging and referencing those topics/contact. It just takes too much time and there doesn’t seem to be an efficient way to scale this process, unless I’m missing something.

Have been in this position! Idk if this is relevant to you, but working renewals could be a huge source of revenue, too. Ask your reps what their biggest renewal opps are, and what their goals are for those accounts come re-up time. I’ve been able to help by going after new contacts at said accounts and seeing whether they might benefit from using the products and if there’s a use case there. This info is super beneficial when reps are trying to upsell and negotiate with renewal contacts.
With new business acquisition, I’ve found it effective to compare prospects with their competitors and share specific ways on how we can help them differentiate themselves further. This does take a bit more research but worth it for your top priority accounts.
