When your client sponsor was previously a consultant and thinks they can manage your team 🐢
@Deloitte I'm in Consulting but working on an Advisory project and loving it. Thinking about switching to Advisory. Does anyone know whether salaries are same/lower/higher?
When it's your second day on the project and you already get screamed at for trying to be helpful
That moment when your client tells the engagement partner of your project that if his son weren't married he would try to set you up with him...
Do you think I'll be able to use ubers and taxis as travel for all future client travel ? Don't want to get into it, but have some license issues and don't want to be driving.
When the client is enamored with the analysis you did, but your manager takes credit for it...
When you finish up last piece of analysis on Sunday all day for a meeting on Monday afternoon and realize that the raw data client sent is inconsistent ..
Don't you guys get frustrated when we get emails from leadership saying how well our project/firm is doing, but all we get as reward is their useless thank you email
Finally built up the courage to take full advantage of the beach by visiting the gf on a weekday. At 8:30pm I got an email saying be back for a project by 8:30am tomorrow. She lives 4 hours away...
From what I can see so far, taking a full time offer from a client you've worked for seems analogous to crossing into heaven.
Client told me his wife made him happy and miserable simultaneously. I advised him not to divorce. Those feelings are just called marriage.
When you land home after a long week at the client only to hear the captain say, "Uhh...ladies and gentlemen...uhhh...gates occupied...uhhh."
My idea of work-life balance is being able to answer client emails and so laundry at the same time.
First week on the project and I find out the client office's zip code boasts the most murders per capita. Lovely.
When the world's most unorganized manager hits you up with project requests at 10 p.m. that could've been delegated at 3 p.m...
When the client refuses to book conference rooms, I find that the best place to take calls is the meditation room or the nursing room.
Met my boyfriend at my previous client. Now he's working for Accenture too...now we crossed paths again at the same client/and same team. Anyone else meet their significant other at a client site?
Am I the only one who finds it annoying AF to learn a new secret language every time you start a new project? Any hacks for navigating those first few days without losing it?

Is there anyone within EY public sector able to let me know what I should negotiate for salary wise? Senior associate position. I have two years consulting plus an MBA and six years in industry. Ty!
Deloitters - anyone get one of those mysterious partner invites for the next day without a real topic? I know what it means. Just want to know if it's going to be a group or one-off.
Has anyone also struggled to get on a project as a new hire? Doing all I can (I think) networking, volunteering, speaking to staffing manager etc but can't seem to get off the bench.

The most interesting part of consulting to me is being dropped into entirely new teams where no one knows each other and immediately having to adjust to a new team culture.
My partner accepted my RFP, fam 💍🎉🎈👫
Some big name tech companies are showing more interest in my Dads startup than I am :( I hate having built up a semi-luxurious lifestyle with D $$$ and not being with him helping him out. Quit?
All my MBB friends are the same... Prep School, Ivy League, and on their way to an MBA 😝
