Thought I'd share another leadership opportunity, this time for industry leaders in the Tech & Digital sector. Would love to connect with anyone who is a senior leader (MD / SVP) with deep experience in this sector alongside leadership experience in a TA / Growth or Client Relationship environment. Amazing opportunity to further establish and grow our presence with global leaders in Tech.

I’d get started by considering what type of sales/commercial role you’d prefer. I work in technical sales for plastics and the types of roles I’ve come across are break down into 3 types:
- account manager: directly works with customers and grows territory typically through existing accounts and/or new prospects in their area
- business development rep: drives new customer growth often with new technologies
- technical development reps (often called TDE or ADTS): these are the technical experts but work directly with customers. Usually work with the above two positions to help specify, be on site to help with trials/installs, and assist with quality complaints/investigations
All 3 of the above usually report into the commercial side and I find the bottom two to overlap a ton with project management skills. I’m in a hybrid business development rep/account manager role.
