Slalom is good if you are interested in working cross industry with modern technologies.
No travel model sounds good, but leads to more general (staff aug) or tech centered implementation work.
Each office is run independently, so limited collaboration outside of each franchise’s geography, and quality of leadership varies by city.
Comp is OK, but raises and bonuses tend to lag consulting firms. I doubt Slalom would be able to touch MBB comp.
In summary... good work life balance, good tech exposure, decent comp, but generally not at the same level of a big4 let alone MBB.
If you value working with nice people, limited travel, and work life balance above other things it’s a nice alternative to an industry job.

Just move to indistry
Cool thanks 🐟
I’m at slalom at the moment. Each office is run a bit like a franchise. They control their own p&l but they still have a connection with the mother ship in Seattle.
Data & analytics work varies from market to market. They have some large projects but slot of the work is not exciting and is focused around staff aug. the compensation is not great and path to promotion slow
