If they’re people you’ll want to work for they’ll understand and maybe keep your resume on the books for the next opening. Otherwise if you feel like you need to hide bereavement from a potential employer or if you’re put down for bringing it up you should probably run the other way real fast
Just be honest. Tell them about the situation and say you can carry on with the interview but you just aren’t in the right frame of mind so would prefer to reschedule.
Let them know there was a death in the family and you need to reschedule.
Do you have to withdrawal from the process or just reschedule your interview? I would speak with the recruiter before making any drastic decisions because you don't know what timeline they are on and if you only need a week or two maybe they could accommodate that while they continue on with other interviews.

In this case I’d withdraw. Seems like you need to take some bereavement/personal leave and give space to grieve.
