Hi all, does anyone know of any recruiters or hiring managers that work in Affirm Inc. I've been applying for a couple of jobs with them . The role I have applied for I know lam a extraordinary fit for
100% and can help the company/ department succeed. I have a good deal of experience with this role and would love to talk to a recruiter or a hiring manager more about this. If anyone
could reach out to me if you have any information on that I would greatly appreciate it.

Got messaged by a C3 . ai recruiter. Read that wlb is bad and that the interview process is absurdly long, but the Glassdoor reviews are 4.2 and can't find actual hours worked posted by anyone. How's the culture really? I'd be aiming for DS consulting, something more functional but with DS/ML concepts as my differentiator.

This is actually real.
I’d like to see the demographic information of the entire company vs those who were laid off - my organization is very heavily majority female, so of course, when layoffs happen, the percentage correlates. Perception sometimes doesn’t show the whole picture.
Job market is tough right now 👩🏻🦰💯
Both, I'm going with it's a little bit of both.....
She is 100% right on this
I agree with her
Half the people that say this are unhinged. I’ve seen plenty of white guys taking a year to find a job when they’re qualified. She’s seeing survivor bias and those guys probably just have a strong network
That said some companies truly are like this even when they’re qualified do have a DEI plan.
My boss at one job hired two white guys making our team of four almost all white. I’m 80% white which is pretty much white but she never actually asked about my background, so it was weird her commenting and complaining our team was four white guys when she hired two of them.
In the years before and after this she hired only white people for over a decade with one exception.
Minorities who were hired within the division but not under her were treated poorly and she would undermine them constantly even helping get a minority VP fired as her and others did all the good to sabotage them.
I don’t think she’s helping herself here and shows a lack of understanding but definitely racism is strong in a lot of companies
Got laid off last year. Demographics were as follows:
- 6 people let go: of which 5 were POCs (the other person was white and not American), 2 were female
- 12 people remained: All male, 11 of which were white male.
Just saying :-/
The majority of the population is white, and more than half of the working population is male, so shes probably right based on statistics alone.
