If I start searching for new job, will that HR ask about recent offer letter? Or only salary slips are enough?

Additional Posts in Salary Negotiations
Im not searching for a new job but an acquaintance reached out about a similar role at a similar energy company.Turns out 2 ppl threw my name in the hat. I looked into it and the position was posted 2 weeks ago.Their director wants to meet.I bet pay is one of the first things to be discussed so that no one’s time is wasted.Am I crazy for not wanting to entertain it for less than 20-25% base pay increase? Is it selfish to ask for more? I’m sure most salary conversations end in negotiation anyways?

A year's about the right time to start wondering if you could be qualified for a raise. Typically, you can expect to discuss raises during your annual performance review, which often happens after your first full year of employment. Most companies give raises annually, with an average increase of 3%, and
some companies even offer raises more frequently, like semi-annually, but that's not very common.
And also, your direct supervisor or manager is usually the best person to approach about a raise. Or if your company has a Human Resources department, which I'm pretty sure it should, they can also provide guidance on this! Good luck :)
Most companies have a fixed review cycle, and most raises and promotions occur as part of that cycle.
Raises are typically a factor of...
- Company policy - Some companies give a base annual raise to everyone who qualifies (e.g. has been there more than a year and meets minimum performance requirements).
- Personal Performance - If you are doing particularly well you can (and should) expect a higher increase, which may also be tied to a promotion. If you aren't doing well, you many not get a raise at all.
- Company Performance - How the company as a whole is doing also plays into the amount. Companies doing poorly may suspend all raises. Companies doing well may give everyone larger raises or bonuses to reflect the better company performance.
You get raises?
I got a raise this year out of cycle. If you are doing well and you have a good boss and performance it can happen anytime. I got raises in cycle after the new year. It’s going to depend on company policy and culture.
