Bain & Company I have a second round with Bain & Company coming up at the DC office for Experienced Consultant role. Excited, but hella nervous. Recruiter said it’d be 3 separate interviews, all with Partners; 2 case, 1 fit. About 40 mins each. First round was 2 case interviews with Sr. manager & Associate Partner. Been a rough year, so definitely looking forward to this opportunity. I’ve been on the site and going through preparation and materials. Any advice or suggestions welcomed!
How much would my tech stack and language be a factor in getting selected in faang or good product based companies?
I'm asking from getting my resume selected to getting an offer.
I read everywhere that only DSA and system design is needed, but I'm still concious about my tech stack.

A few options...
Servant Leader: you live to serve the needs of your team
Master Delegator: you excel at assigning tasks to your team and holding them accountable
Hands-On Leader: you get your hands dirty. You're in the trenches right alongside your team.
Visionary: you imagine a transformational future state and inspire the team and the rest of the org to manifest it.
Ambassador: you excel at developing relationships with stakeholders outside of your team to champion your team's value.
Innovator: you excel at implementing changes and new ideas
Operational Expert: you excel at running fundamental business processes and/or optimizing the status quo.
Strategic Leader: you excel at prioritizing competing interests, and identifying and leveraging valuable opportunities.
Lieutenant: your loyalty and effectiveness in carrying out your boss's assignments precisely is your superpower.
The trick is teasing out from the job description and other clues what types the hiring manager loves and what types they avoid. Then frame yourself with the positive personas, and downplay the aspects that are red flags for them. And if your style really clashes with what they want, consider dropping out of the process.
EP, why?
Collaborative, value input from all team members, facilitator, transparency etc etc
This is my answer word for word. Servant leader and coach. Hands-on collaborative leader that leads by example given I’ll never ask my team to do anything I wouldn’t.
Understanding everything cannot be delegated, as a coach, I’m hands-on regarding all things new that may impact my team (eg new software and processes) to ensure I’m able to fully guide and support my team should they have questions or we need to work through ambiguity.
Also, not a fan of micromanagement, as it’s unrealistic to micromanage in a remote environment. As a result, I put a large focus on being a supportive leader to my staff empowering them and building trust. Ensuring they are insulated from distractions and friction (politics), to help them do their job effectively.
Stick "mentor" somewhere in there.
you answered" a great leader in the world". hahaha. by the way, i am hiring an oversea market develpment partner in New York.
