I have received an offer from PA Consulting , which I think will speed up my development by around 2 years, compared to staying where I am. (More diverse role, exposure, not just focused on one platform/product for which I currently am). In addition, the offer is also a large increase in package. I have only been at my current company for 6 months, however I would like to take the offer, how do I approach this?

So the obvious part first: every situation varies. I’ve thought things went great and never heard back. I also got a “interested in a round two?” email 8 weeks after round one. The less obvious part: do yourself a favor and always assume the worst. Be pessimistic when you haven’t heard bc it’s much easier expect the worst and be pleasantly surprised than it is to tell yourself “they said they’d call so they will” ... recruiters, HR ppl, hiring managers deal with hundred of candidates sometimes they forget the courtesy of telling you that you’re out. And remember, they’re human... rejecting ppl isn’t fun. Sometimes they’d rather avoid an awkward email than be professional. So are you getting ghosted? Tell yourself yes and if you get a call in a week, it’s a happy surprise. While it’s better to remain doubtful when you haven’t heard, you should remain positive and optimistic toward the job search in general bc eventually you’ll find the right fit. Good luck hunting, you’ll find something.
One of our best local creatives, Mark St. Amant, wrote an article about this very topic. Check it out, maybe it will bring some comfort. This happens all the time, and like the other advice here, it’s best to not worry about it or let it get you down. Assume you didn’t get it and move on. Even if they are still considering you, you should be considering someone else. That’s no way to treat a potential employee so maybe that’s some insight into the agency culture there — and sounds like it’s one to avoid.

I know we have two roles open, but it’s been chaos at work, both personally for decision makers and for work being up and down. I’d be shocked if they’ve gotten back to anyone. That being said they might not be ghosting, but they aren’t moving either which I know is so frustrating when you’re waiting to hear.
