The new company I’m at now sent me an email from an email address that was HR@companyName.careers saying I was accepted for the position. They gave me paperwork to fill out and sign to accept the position
I fill out the paperwork and send it back to them and it goes through… then a few days later I go back to the email to say something else and I get this…?
Then today I got a check from the company In the mail to setup my home office, and it’s signed by someone I’ve never met before or heard of…?
What…..

Oh yea, that could easily get someone to leave the team and not deal with the bullshit.
I would be fuming.

I'm livid.
Not to sound harsh but maybe they don't think you're ready for that level. More experience doesn't always mean better.
@OP Are you me? Similar situation.
Is this a publicis agency ? because this sounds familiar 🤔
What? It's a strategy supervisor.
Did you make it known that you'd be interested in that kind of position?
Damn, man. Just damn.
i guess a question is how do you find out they're interviewing (next time) ? were there other internal candidates ?
AS1 when I was hired I made it known I was looking to move up. I was put on my account to basically start taking on sup tasks which I did from the get go. Also I figured they were gonna phase the position out since they never openly talked about filling it. My agency is less than 30 people so it wouldn't be unheard of.
@D1 there are other people but looking at experience only I'm the only one qualified internally.
@D1 - did you know they were hiring ? was it posted ? I'm headed in the same direction as VP/AD - why would they not tell you about the interview ?
Yuuup
I doubt he has skills that I don't have. Also no clue why they didn't tell me. I figured it was phased out.
I just genuinely don't understand why a strategist would feel entitled to an account management role. It's a different department and the role requires a different skill set, so why would you assume they would even consider you without you explicitly telling them you wanted to be an Account Supervisor? Or are you saying it was a Strategy Supervisor role? (If that's the case, that sucks)
