What’s generally considered “market” for a property manager’s termination fee?

Depends on the asset. For branded operating assets managed by the brand (where I do much of my work), it could be several years of management fees.

For a retail center, it would be considerably lower.

And it depends on the market. For me, we negotiated all agreements as being terminated by either side on 30 days’ notice. We’ve since taken all management in house, but, as mentioned by another poster, it depends on the asset and the market. But none of our properties require brand promotion, or anything like that.

I've been applying to jobs for months but every position wants at least 2yrs of experience in real estate transactions, usually way more. Seems like the only way to get the experience is to have nailed a big law gig right out of school and get put into that practice.
