Yes, I reread this book every time I start a new gig.

HBR has some good stuff on inheriting teams. They also have a book for new managers that I always go back to as a refresher in their box set series.
Set up all the one-on-ones. Bridge out and meet people. Ask questions! Ask people if they have any advice for you? If someone had your job before you, ask ... what should I copy? What should I change?
In the first week, schedule 1:1s with your direct reports. Schedule them at your desk/office... when they arrive, appear super busy (even if you're not). Make sure your 1st edition color tabbed / highlighted copy of American Psycho is in clear sight on your desk. Ask your team about their previous experiences and roles. Maybe there's something you can tap into that was previously overlooked? Good luck with the new job!
Get to know your team. One on one coffees, ask what they’re into outside of work for hobbies then just tell them your plan with a caveat that you’re open to suggestion based on data or what is or what is not working so far. Then get them in an open group to discuss and thennnn you’ll have a sense what’s going on and how you can contribute to the balance.
