Where are you applying for business school?

What is the average time you take to make a decision after receiving a formal job offer letter? The day of, 2-3 days, a week? Told my recruiter to give me 1-2 days to just think it through with my family and she comes back saying she doesn’t know what to tell the hiring managers and says that she will assume that I am interviewing at other places. The recruiter has been very pushy and demanding from the beginning and I just don’t know what to make of it. Advice?

Anyone ghosted by EY? Interviewing with CCAS group and they keep telling me they’re setting up next round since Dec 2021. How long is the interview process usually?

I have just finished my first round of technical interview for Associate Role and seems it went kind of Okay. How would I know if I have cracked the first one or got rejected in the same? Will they send any email for 2nd round or if I get rejected will they send any regret mails?

What’s the down time for ipl? Can I do it a few days before an interview or will I look like a reptile?

I have reached a point where I just have to swallow the pill and admit that I have become complacent. My work isn’t interesting, I can’t find the strength to interview and get out. Also, my performance at work is slipping. Something makes me really disappointed and upset about all of this.

As an introvert, I struggle with interviews. Sometimes, I feel like the application process doesn't focus on "are you good for the job" -- but are you good at interviewing. I have been interviewing at a few companies since September and feel like a piece of meat getting thrown about and chewed -- whether it's chasing ppl down for an update, getting ghosted, or doing multiple interviews w/ repetitive Qs being asked again & again. I'm exhausted & hope others have had better experiences.

I have roughly 1.5 YOE at a top 10 firm, half in audit half in TAS, no CPA. I’ve applied to and received referrals for pretty much all big 4 and other 10 firms. For the ones who gave me a phone screen or first round interview, I was told they’d like me to have more YOE before considering me. Yet I see folks on here with 1.5 YOE in just audit getting senior roles in TAS at these same firms. I believe I’m personable and decent at interviewing. Any ideas on why I’m not getting any offers?

I recently had an interview with EY India for the role of a consultant. The first interview round was taken by a senior associate but the experience was pretty bad. They seemed completely disinterested in taking the interview right from the get go and seemed very impatient, did not let me complete my sentences and overall just gave me a bad vibe. To top that, the HR had told me the role I was going to be applying for but couldn't find the JD. Has anyone else had a similar experience?

Today’s confession is I do not like my brother. I love him but I do not like him. I know he’s a child but I resent being forced to be his second parent who tries to correct the wrongs of our actual parent but is told to “stop being mean”. Meanwhile he’s 16 but can’t tie his shoes and has to be instructed like a toddler. I worry because I see little signs of improvement and I know he dislikes me because of the firm hand I’ve taken but I just want him to be raggedy for life.

Anyone else just continually dismayed by the sheer amount of work product they are cranking out? It truly feels like I’m on a hamster wheel of one incredibly substantive document, motion, or pleading to the next. While also juggling the other less substantial but still necessary things that are required to keep litigation rolling. I. Am. Worn. Out.
Hoping I’m just in a bad cycle that will eventually give.

How does a person know when it’s time to take a step back career wise and get a job that gives them more free time? I’ve been doing this for 6 years and have the work ethic, personality and technical skills to go up in the ranks quickly, but I’m also 30, single and very unhappy. Feel like a square peg that’s being forced into a round slot, but the long term opportunity and money potential keeps me here and am brainwashed into thinking I can only be successful by staying. Any advice?
