How to people remember to get their time cards in on time? I have tried so many different ways to get it in on time and I continuously am late because I get distracted about something else. Does anyone have strong rationale for why it seem like big brands hardly ever include trademark or register symbols on their logo anymore? When I was coming up as a designer trademarking the logo was a very important step in branding.

I’m in FDD… I know I signed up for this but there’s something about the anxiety that comes on a Friday knowing that we still didn’t get access to VDR .. and how that anxiety grows as you enter the long weekend knowing that access can happen at any minute (or not) and you have to tippy-toe on the idea of potentially cancelling on your memorial weekend plans. I know the unpredictability of our job but phew 😮‍💨

Differences in FDD at accounting firms (big 4, rsm, GT, etc) vs non-accounting firms (HL, A&M, FTI)?

I currently work in Transactions Tax but I am keen to move into Corporate Finance or FDD.

I dont have any prior Audit experience so I am just pondering how realistic my aspirations are given my tax background. Can anyone advise as to what would be the best route of transition?

FDD senior currently trying to decide between strategy consulting consultant vs. IBD analyst offers, which would be the main considerations that I should think through?

is it worth it to shift to IB or MBB after 7 years in the big four(audit and fdd)? I do think IB and MBB are interesting fields that you can acquire unique skill sets and a good network. But I don’t think I couldn’t keep up already for a daily grind. The reason why I did not pursue it earlier in my career is that I am not from a target school and I do not have an MBA. lol thoughts?

Does the size of the deals you work on impact your exit opps? I'm considering a role at an MM firm (non-PA firm) and they mentioned the deals are usually in the $200M area of size, which I realize is smaller than big 4 deals

Just curious. Excluding business recovery / restructuring teams that are more counter-cyclical. What TS group do you think is the least cyclical? Valuation / modeling? Accounting advisory? Then lastly how “cyclical” do you view them?

A few questions for people at BDO fdd - how does bdo get away with paying you guys below market? Is turnover insane there? Whenever I chat with someone from bdo it seems like their comp is always 10k+ below market.
