Hey fishes
A friend of mine has recently received an offer from Mastek. His only(primary) concern before joining any organization is the job security that comes with it. I would therefore like to know to what extent is one's job secure at Mastek? Thanks in advance...

What is the culture like, type of work and reputation of Capco in the Data & Analytics space?
I have some good ex colleagues who moved over there and also looked up on LinkedIn and see lots of seemingly smart and accomplished people in their D&A team in the UK.
I'll ask my ex colleagues too, but wanted to see if people here have any opinion or information on this too.
TIA
Hi fishers! I have offer and signed contract with Deloitte UK and my start day is in the beginning of April. I need skilled worker visa, and we haven’t applied yet for that. Screening and onboarding is in progress. Immigration team doesn’t reply since reached me out 1st time. How much time does it usually needed to go through the whole process? How many days take for visa to be approved since application?Deloitte

PA Consulting are nicer. Deloitte has a wider client base and more of a global presence.
It depends on what your competency is and where you see your career going. PA consulting are superior and more technocratic for anything defence, engineering, infrastructure, major programme or risk related.
Deloitte are better for CIO and CFO advisory work.
Very true.

I’ve not worked at Deloitte but an ex PA-er here and would pick PA all day. You’re not a number, you’ll get to know nearly everyone, there are (some) excellent leaders there, it’s a flat hierarchy, standards are high, you’re encouraged to be yourself, the culture (for the most part) is great, and they really look after you.
@MC1:
PA ranks are: Analyst, Consultant Analyst, Consultant, Senior Consultant, Principal Consultant, Managing Consultant, Associate Partner, Partner... is that a flat hierarchy?
Not speaking from a UK perspective, but in general. I started in Deloitte and later moved to PA. I’m a business/ financial major (financial management) but working between IT and business currently. For me, the pay was better and the inclusion within corp dev etc early on is far more superior at PA. However, I believe that the culture at PA is more “stiff” and academic while Deloitte is more easy going and adventurous. Also, moving up the ladder at PA seem to be much more complicated (even at lower ranks) if you do not have a really good sponsor / network.
Your exit opportunities from Deloitte would be better. However, if you’re further along in your career and looking to settle then I would pick Deloitte
Then I would pick *deloitte

I think it depends what you enjoy. More ranks in PA focus on delivery with a far lower aim of developing managers. Deloitte from what I understand encourages more management from a lower level.
Having worked at PA despite having a good start to my career at PA I wouldn’t choose to go back, there are far too many things being dictated on the consultants by the corporate side which crushes morale. So right now I’d choose Deloitte for my sins.
I’m obviously grumpy about it but happy to talk if it helps! Capability and Rank makes a big difference too.
Two years ago I had offer to both and chose Deloitte. The offer was far lower at PA so it was an easy decision.
FYI- This was right out of undergraduate so pay could be more comparable in other positions
Yeah Deloitte US > PA US everyday of the week. Surprised PA still have teams out there to be honest.
In the UK I’d argue PA are a step above Deloitte in a lot of Public Sector areas (especially defence and national security) but outside of that big D just wins out, aside from some minor specialities I’m sure.
