I'm guilty of the same thing all the time. I'm SUCH a "yes woman" lol. I've overextended myself so many times this summer and have not nearly recovered from last school year. I really think I have to do something different next year (and during winter break). For me, it's overcoming FOMO but also I think I just need to set time limits on how much time I need to myself/to work on my own stuff and not breaking that boundary

My family gets so frustrated with me because I am doing so many things at school. My thing is some of the things ibdobare extra duty with pay at curriculum rate. So I can work at school events or work a second job at half the pay. I mean, they do enjoy the vacation my extra duties provide. However, I am determined to cut out some of the stuff that is just the OCD me!
I've gotten to the point where I really try to ration my time. I'll have projects of my own to work on, and I'll just draw the line at getting involved with too many other things. Between my own work, and family time that's sacrosanct, there's not a lot of hours left in the day, and I try to be careful how I spend them.

That has been my problem . Rationing time is just not my strong point. I have such a
hard time just walking away from things. I realize they will be there tomorrow, but just having to finish one more thing is such a problem for me!

I love the idea of setting a timer. I am so compulsive about completing a project, and i tell myself "...one more section, one more page, one more color, etc". I did finally start setting a timer when I was working in my yard. Otherwise, I would get so focused on a project, and four or five hours would pass.
