Which AWS cert to go for? Registering for a training for either developer or solutions architect. I work side by side with developers in my current role but am leaning solutions architect. Don’t really know anything about cloud so thinking I just want a learning experience that doesn’t overlap with what I do now. Only hesitation is if I don’t like it, what was the point? Thoughts?

Would go with the Architect associate first and then go from there. I have all of three associate certs and went in this order: Architect -> Developer -> SysOps -> Architect Pro is what I’m studying for now

If you are brand new to cloud, solutions architect will give you a great broad view of all of the different services available.

If you don’t really know anything about cloud, AWS practitioner is great to start. Gives you overview of various AWS services, you can figure out if you enjoy it and then go for the solutions architect one

What’s the process to get certified?

I was nominated for Cloud Institute (I think just by virtue of being GPS CCG CBO, no idea really). But I’ve heard this 10 week program doesn’t actually prep you for the exam so basically the process is study for a month after the program and pay to take a test like M1 said

Like everyone else says. Solutions architect for broad view. You’re already working with developers so I don’t think you’re so green that you should do practitioner.

Said it could be achieved in under a year. By day 4 of the new job they had accelerated to the final point in that plan without making good on title / salary. I am a 1-2 year lawyer in a large law firm (BigLaw non-US/UK) and feel like I am being under-utilised in my current team/firm. It’s also saturated with competent mid level lawyers who seem to get all the good work before it trickles down. A position has opened at a competitor firm that I am considering applying for. Today I spent almost the entire day crying and now have to make up the billable time this weekend. I really worry abt what effect this will have on the babe.

Hi I am having some trouble on choosing between Deloitte and PwC for a 2022 winter internship. Some pros for Deloitte include being the largest firm, and the promotion to senior being 2 years opposed to 3 at PwC. Additionally, Deloitte offers a pension and has Deloitte university. The pros of PwC include a gym in the office and a younger work force. They also give me much less of a “corporate” feel and seem to offer more flexibility. I’m wondering if anyone could give me any advice on deciding?
