New year. New rates. I’d like to increase my hourly rate of $100/hour. I’m freelancing with the same company in early 2022….how much is a healthy increase in that rate without it being too much? I feel like I’m bringing more to the table in this new project and want the rate to reflect that in the new contract.

I disagree. There are many profitable opportunities on there. Its all about how well ou search and how open you are to new opportunity.
Much more competition nowadays. If you’re unable to secure clients and maintain relationships on your own, it’s going to be a long, uphill journey. LinkedIn and networking will always be the #1 place for lead generation.

placement agency - they will take half your pay.. why would you do ever do that?
If you can’t source at least 75% of your gigs and don’t want to, freelancing may not be the best fit.
