Accenture! Love my job and colleagues!
People here generally have a soul. Going to go with Accenture here.
I currently work at ACN, previously was with Deliotte. Diversity is pretty big at Accenture compared to D. Deloitte's culture definitely has a "corporate" feeling. A bit on the stuck up side, but not extremely bad. I feel lots of folks ( at least my group) at Accenture tend to be more active in events or something related to Accenture outside of typical work. Totally agree with the view " work hard play hard" at Deliotte.
I’m pretty sure the only difference is the logo on the screen. 401k is better at Accenture haha
Worked both places. Culture on the job is pretty similar. Culture from a development perspective, Deloitte wins. Culture from a leadership perspective, Accenture wins.
I work at Accenture. I find that my friends at Deloitte tend to work longer hours but are friends with their coworkers and have a more "work hard play hard" attitude. I see that less often at Accenture?
Elaborating: At Deloitte, the partners have taken money out of their pockets to fund Deloitte University, a place where people have so much opportunity to develop. The office culture is more what Accenture was like years ago. They have much more planned development stages in your career and clear delimitation of what it takes to get to the next level.
Where Deloitte breaks down is that all the way up the Partner Chain there is a focus on financial performance. This is fine as a business but we tend to hold on to rainmaker partners even if they are assholes. Upward feedback is taken much more seriously at Accenture.
The opportunities for advancement are very similar. Both certainly have their ups and downs as a firm and you certainly see that on 🐠bowl. But the big thing is finding people that you want to work with who support your career.
We are different in digitallll
Del1, can you elaborate? Were you given more opportunities to climb?
Deloitte has a more integrated culture that focuses on your development. Acn - not so much. Worked at both
Accenture Dig is 10x better though 😂
Hi D1. What kind of programming does your DU offer? I had a look at the consulting schedule for DU North in Canada and most of the programs are for SM and P. If you’re M and below, there’s hardly any programming except for Milestone programs. Doesn’t seem like a lot of opportunity to develop?
