McKinsey & Company I received an offer from McKinsey & Company in 2021 and I’ll be starting later this year after graduation. Obviously because of the pandemic, inflation is slowly trending upwards. Has anyone asked for a base salary increase before even starting the job? Any advice on how to approach this?

Comp def not but WLB (and personally I believe impact)
Honored that we are even mentioned in this conversation. But not us!
Kearney should be on this list! £95k post MBA base.
It is impressive !
TCS is paying really good salaries in the consulting arm. Also bonushes are quite as well.
It's true, TCS are paying really well when it comes to the consulting arm. Not as much as MBB but better than big 4 and Accenture.
All of MBB is the same. However BCG is always the first to make the moves when it comes to comp. The other two follow suit within 6 months. Bain typically has first moves on benefits in the same manner. They currently have both maternal and paternal leave as 5 months
Yeah they are similar. If you’re deciding between these do it based on the people not the numbers of the company!
Is there a big pre MBA to post MBA salary jump in the UK like there is in the US?
Is it necessary to reach higher levels in consulting, especially if you are already in consulting firm?
After how many years does one typically do an MBA in UK?
C1 at MBB there is a huge jump between the pre and post MBA level. Though in general MBAs matter less (and most get direct promote, with mba optional only if you really want to do one)
AlixPartners is about £60k post-MBA. After 1year to 18 months you might make VP and it’ll be more like £90-100k.
As you grow VP onwards, the TC increases as bonus sinks in ! Hence the question !
This year mck was 95k base and I believe BCG was 100k.
Standard. Heard from someone that they were offered double starting bonus if they started at an earlier date. Also heard if moving from abroad moving expenses are covered.
