CTS offering 17.7 fixed + 45 var + 50k joining bonus

IBM promised to revise the offer to same as CTS (IBM has gratuity included in offer, aroung 35k pa) + 2.5 lpa joining bonus + var (not mentioned in offer letter but they said there'll be some)

KPMG 15lpa (Haven't negotiated yet, though I think they'll not revise) + var (not mentioned in offer letter)

If I get a referral from someone and I apply, then can I still reach out to a recruiter on LinkedIn expressing interest in the role? And do I let them know that I already applied? I’m sure they get tons of messages so I want to write something that won’t be overlooked. Any advice is appreciated:)

Is it misleading to just look at Total Compensation from a $ dollar value/ Total Compensation seems to be much more subjective than base salary in terms of its value. Some factors might be:

RSUs granted on dollar value or by # of shares & stock price trends
Vesting schedule
strike price on ISOs & delta between strike price and real market value

For instance, most of value in Amazon's comp seems to be granted in years 3 & 4, but it's well known that most people last only 2 years max there.
