Hello Fishes, I have cleared both Technical and Manager rounds in Infosys. I have total experience of 3 years and relevant experience of 2.9 years in Java Full stack development. Currently holding an offer of 13LPA and ctc is 7.8 LPA.
Please help me regarding how much ctc I can expect/ask from Infy?
Thanks in advance.!

Depending on the position level, it is sent to the TA Manager or TA Head, assuming the Hiring Manager has already approved for the budget.
Assuming it's a bank like Wells Fargo and the hiring manager is in US but the recruiter is in India. The position has a ceiling of 40 LPA but candidate is asking for 45 (his current is 39 with a mere hike of 15%), will it still require an approval from hiring manager from US? Also does the candidate's current CTC matter in such scenarios? Do they think that the candidate is asking for a mere 15% hike only and will they usually approve it or will they be strict in terms of the cap in the salary range for that position in that organization which is 40 LPA?
Honestly, a lot of factors at play. My experience is that hiring managers can push recruiter/TA lead to improve the offer, if they really want the candidate and it doesn't affect the internal compa-ratio and parity much.
As a past recruiter myself, if it's the first level negotiation, we always keep room to increase the offer.
Also any sensible Recruiter wouldn't have even processed the candidate knowing current ctc is 39 & no candidate will accept 40, unless desperate to join or laid off.
So, clearly the max ceiling of 40 is not true.
That's the problem, I have been laid off and recruiter knows it I have no other offers in hand and I do not want to bluff anything. Honestly, I am ok with 40 LPA too but my lay off shouldn't be a reason to low ball me. Do HRs get somethjng if they make candidates agree for low CTC?
Honestly, recruiters don't get anything for giving a lowball offer. Almost all recruiters always try to give a normal hike on current ctc to all candidates, irrespective of regular hire or laid off.
Can't specifically say for ur case, but with the limited context i have about ur situation, the recruiter should be able to give you 45, assuming you have really impressed the hiring manager with ur skils.
I know it would be a bit tough for you, with no other offer in hand, but i would suggest trying to stay a bit firm about ur demand and not show ur desperation. Try to get info on existing employee CTC with similar experience and use that for negotiation.
Thank you so much for your detailed replies. It helped!
