Hello all, we are a 100 ppl cloud company with HQ in the SF Bay Area ( majority of the employees are remote) and we are thinking about improving our time off policy. What does your company’s time off policy look like? We currently offer 10 vacation days and 10 sick days per year for new hires. Not very competitive as you can see ….
Leaving for a big hike in TC, but things like sick days and holiday a bit lower. How should one value things like that?

Imagine the content if Trump was actually fit enough to lead the MAGA hog parade on January 6th? Would have been so sick to see his fat dumper driving around the halls of Congress in a golf cart with the QAnon shaman smashing windows
My buddy is a doctor and the higher ups told them all that they better start preparing mentally to turn elderly/higher risk people away... medical people are really concerned about this. Ugh
Curious what your parents think about you working in Accounting? Know it's typical to grow up with Asian parents who always push you to get into the medical industry or engineering
Anybody else feel unnecessarily guilty when emailing your manager that you are taking a sick day? Idk why but I always feel like even though it’s completely normal, that it is being judged negatively.
Anyone at IQVIA willing to take a look at my resume and refer me for the associate data medical review manager position? It would be really appreciated. Thanks
Buying in this current market, from the perspective of, I believe cars are overpriced bc of my 2010 mindset/inflation perspective, but I also think $60k is not what it used to be, and will only continue to mean less. So in that sense, I think im kinda into buying a car now, as my monthly payments due to inflation will be less and less, and i have no doubts ill continue to get good raises. I think I’d rather get that $60k car now than 5 years later when it costs $120k. Thoughts?
My Shareholder came into my office yesterday and proceeded to tell me that "we" were getting sloppy & "we" needed to get our billable up and that she had missed things. She made a point to say hers were low & she never gave me info regarding billable time. Our biggest client cuts half our time.
During the interview they never mentioned there were billable req.
1 month ago she was singing my praises. Had been real sick last 2 months and went to HR re med accommodation and now this.
So I got 2 offers, 1 at a well-known firm (that I previously worked at, not as an atty) that offered 80K plus full benefits (100% health coverage, PTO, sick days, discretionary bonus & 1800 billable req.) Their a little old school in their methods but I do see the younger gen. coming in to make changes. 2nd offer is at a newer firm however i’ve heard great things, and they offered 80k, unl. PTO, 1500 billable hours, bonus incentives qrtrly, & 50% health ins. WHY can’t I make a decision? HELP
Anyone from Ontario. I have had 4 transfer so far with no success . Waiting for my fifth transfer.
I am planning to ask my family doctor for short term disability. Without knowing the actual date when the transfer would be and if I would be able to do the transfer because I am doing a natural cycle . how can I convey this to my manager and make sure my team can manage without me when I am away.
Can someone please help with some thoughts ?
Can we claim / reimburse medical bills (eg - tablets, consultation fees etc) apart from hospitalization in LTI?
Hi! I’m doing some research on employee benefits (medical insurance, 401k, HSA/FSA, commuter benefits) and was hoping to connect with People specialists or HR professionals in the comp & benefits space. I’m trying to better understand any pain points or challenges you might face with utilization/enrollment. Anyone interested in connecting? Thank you!
Hello! I currently have above-average WLB - unlimited PTO, sick days, no weekend work, etc. and also have a really awesome boss who encourages vacations, hard stops (sign off at 5 on the dot), and prioritizing family / health. However, I feel that I’m materially underpaid as an finance manager at a profitable, recession-resilient, high growth company. There have been no inflation-adjusted raises the past two years, which really rubs me the wrong way. Should I pack my bags and look elsewhere?
My partner of 5 years ended our relationship last night. I’m shattered and feel absolutely sick, and I know the healing isn’t going to be easy. We were on the verge of an engagement and I was ready to spend the rest of my life with him.
I don’t know how to approach work during this time. I think I can get by, but I’m definitely not 100%. Should I talk to my boss about it? My team is close-knit and comfortable around each other, but I don’t know if it’s “appropriate.” What would you do?
HHS.gov" class="linkified" target="_blank" rel="nofollow" >HHS.gov so I basically work for the worst boss I have ever had in my life. I filled out all the disability paperwork and told her I was disabled, but now she’s angry that I have doctors appts to go to and I don’t owe her an explanation, but she doesn’t have any compassion or empathy. She even asks me to change times which I can’t since I make these appointments 6 months in advance bc they are all specialists for my incurable chronic pain disorder and being disabled, WTF

I have an offer from a startup. The thing is that they are 3 people in total (engineers) and also not working on tech that’s used in other companies (like Kafka or multithreaded features). They use spring boot (with java) and will improvise as and when their demand grows. Is this something to pursue with 4.2 years of experience?
Now Kerala churches coming out with the claim!
How many days after director round do they communicate whether I have been selected or not.
Is google at a good price to buy right now?
Has your GC ever lectured/criticized you about how to talk to business development? Had BD ask me if we can accept a vendor contract “as is” after I spent a bunch of time making edits on a Friday evening due to the “urgency” of the contract. I told BD certain provisions I simply couldn’t sign off on (e.g. unilateral indemnification), but that id defer to their judgment call. Now GC wants to talk to me😩
