If you have 4 years of experience, B4 will likely not make you manager in a year. Your midsize years of experience aren’t equivalent to the same years in B4. I would assume you get hired as Senior 1/2, so expect to work at least 2 hours until you make manager. Sure, you could get promoted after a year but that’s pretty unlikely
Seniors don’t make 100k
With patience you’ll find something but the thing is you probably lack the large client experience they offer. You’re going to have to claw your way in. If you know anybody at SM or PPED level at any of the big 4 or who made at least SM before leaving you might be able to network your way in.
You may just not have found the right fit yet.
Move to a different geo
1) Are there openings? 2) You might not look like a viable candidate because you’re going to have to come on as like Senior 1 at PwC or experienced senior at the other firms; it’s possible they would rather not tell you this.
Expressed that I was open to being a senior
Not ok with paycut tho :-/
What market are you in?
Due to midsize firm I am not specialized in an industry. I would just say mainly entity work including provisions
I think market = location, OP. (Either city or region depending on the firm)
Ah my bad. New York
You’ll find something!
What salary are you expecting?
100k base at least which is what I'm at now
Your personality may just suck
Pwc1 I didn't even talk with anyone from the firm yet lol recruiter just tells me they don't want to move forward cause they don't have the need.
EY4 a experienced senior that is to make manager by next year should be I would think in a high COL area. I'm already a manager so would expect to be on a one year track to manager at big4 if I'm good
I would think big4 always has a need or at least would make room for high performers.
I agree with EY 3. Unfortunately they count your 4 years as about 2, maybe 3. (Based on one friend’s experience so not necessarily the rule)
Agree with the last 2 posts. Big 4 is a different animal in the eyes of Big 4 recruiters so your experience counts for less than half of what it should
