Selling 2 tickets to SIX, the musical for Wed, 05/25 at 7:30 pm. Great seats in Row C of Dress Circle Center. Had to go out of town for work and can’t make the show.
Originally paid $116 each (including taxes and fees). Willing to sell both for $200 or the best offer.

I have 6 YOE in. Net+Angular and got an offer from Legato Health Technologies with 20 LPA Fixed, i joined Infor just 11 months ago with 12LPA Fixed and i will get the hike in August. If i resign now i will not get hike and i am a critical resource in the project, i guess Infor might try to retain me by matching offer. What should i do? Should i resign ASAP and not negotiate with Infor . I have all these doubts because Infor is a product based company.

People in B4 aren’t working IB hours, at least not all the time.
Idk about y’all but as much as we moan about compensation - I absolutely do not deserve my salary 🤣
In all honesty because we didn’t have the grades / connections for IB but hold out the fleeting hope that work here could translate to IB in the future

The same reason people are "okay" with doing real manual labor but barely making a living wage.
When a VP says it he gets likes, when I say it I get reported and banned off the app for 3 days
Lol whoever is working more than 50 hours a week at big4 is just doing things wrong or isn’t efficient. Big4 lyfe is all about cruising. Do the least to be second best. Fwiw I worked at Deloitte and EY previously
Agree - on average I would think B4 is working 50% or less of IB hours
Consultants have a habit of inflating how much they work
I had a suspicion, cuz I have no idea how people on my team work as much as they say
You’re being dramatic. Putting pay aside, Big 4 hours aren’t even close to IB (at least not consistently). In fact, they’re probably closer to half of IB on average.

If I didn’t enjoy correcting people who are aggressively wrong, I wouldn’t have become a strategy consulting partner 🤷🏻♂️
1. Few better options that are attainable. It is hard enough to get a job at GS/JPM/MS at Ivy-tier schools. Realistically, the Ohio State student doesn't have nearly the same kind of access. Similarly, that Ohio State grad doesn't have FAANG product management or MBB as options either.
2. Marketing. There's a pipeline, a lot of word of mouth and decades worth of successful people and alumni from big 4. This leaves an impression.
OP: “Today I’m going to show everybody I’m a moron.”
I only put up with it for 11 months 😂
Good for you mate!

A lot of big 4 workers putting in those types of hours are here on visas and don't really have the choice.
OP isn’t genuinely looking for answers. He should have just posted “I think people in B4 are dumb.”
Echo the working smart over working hard. If you're great you'll do both, but within reason and definitely not over 50-60 hours a week.
At least in consulting I've rolled onto projects and filled roles where the previous staffer complained about being over-worked/overwhelmed. I was able to do the work without an issue.
Sometimes long hours are a result of someone lacking the skills for a specific role and needing to compensate with brute force (obviously not always the case). Bottom line - Big 4 doesn't work IB hours and the entry level pay is better than a lot of jobs offered out of college.

If you are smart you get into the bank early. It’s the same amount of work.
I don’t work in IB and I’m glad my “dream to” didn’t work out cause it’s not worth it IMO, but I see some of my friends working these crazy hours for 60k and maybe a 10k bonus and it makes me wonder how/why lol. I was in boutique consulting so pay was still better but not by much so I left for market rate pay, it just seems like people are very loyal to the big 4 and I don’t understand why.
Love that SC4.
