Where/How did you meet your SO?

Anyone else extreme ? Love the fit life and sometimes will do 2 a days and be ok with eating one meal, but other times will spend the day barely moving and eating on my sofa. Can’t escape fatty life

Boyfriend has seemed to be dropping a ton on me lately, even after I got bad news that my company is t doing so hot this week and layoffs are approaching. First it was that we may be moving to another state for his job, then it was that his brother may need to move in with us for a few months after he graduates

It’s just a bit overwhelming at this time and I’m not sure how to communicate through all of this being thrown at me. 3 yrs together and we were friends for many years before that.

Is anyone else hoping for an insane blizzard to hit mid-next week so they have an excuse not to drive downstate to spend Thanksgiving with their extended family? Some of my family's FB posts since last week's elections tell me it's going to be a long holiday weekend.

I’m my partners only associate and I went on parental leave two weeks ago. I feel horrible for leaving him to handle our cases alone, but am trying to focus on my wife and new baby. That being said, should I still offer to handle minor matters that come in to ease the workload off my boss? He’s been super cool during my entire leave, so I don’t feel pressured to one bit.

With my wife for 14 years, 2 kids under 8y - both under a lot of pressure bc Covid/work/private life/… and have been (unconsciously) running away from our couple not working “since a long time” (dixit my wife). We want to try and fix it, but I also met someone new (not sure if she would even want me) and wondering if it’s worth fixing it (since we are trying/running/avoiding it for years) - just worried about the kids…any advice

Any tips for organizing a bedroom, closet, dresser & bathroom? My teen has IADHD, and low executive functioning. Her room looks like a land mine. Clean clothes are mixed in with dirty, her desk is a disaster, she won’t let go of clothes she’s outgrown, drawers are open with clothes hanging out. A therapist said to close her door if we don’t want to see it but it’s more than that. She needs this important life skill & I don’t know how to help. Easier to organize w/o her but that’s not a solution.

My wife surprised me last night for my 30th bday (which was last week) with a get together with my closest friends I have known since middle school. Most of them live out of state with kids and somehow it all worked out. Feeling really loved.

Frustrated my fiancé keeps talking about raising our future kids in the way he was raised. We’re from different cultures. He wants to name them based on his culture, send them to schools with dual immersion in his language so “they don’t get too American,” and has even mentioned moving so they’re exposed to his homeland and culture. How often do you and your SO text/talk during the days you’re not together? My bf has a pretty busy job so we don’t really communicate during the day, but when it gets to be like 8pm and I haven’t heard from him at all it bothers me. Is that wrong? I'm a US citizen living abroad I applied almost 11 months ago for my spouse. Married for years, kid. I wait and wait. It seems this will take 2 years, maybe more. I feel trapped. On one side the US system demands I work and domicile in US, the other side says families should be prioritized to stay together. My spouse has had enough of the process. I know this isn’t a marriage therapy bowl, but my husband has a really terrible tendency of saying things like “you’re being really mean” and completely shutting down during a disagreement when i objectively am not being mean, just truthful or vocal about how i feel about something. It’s a really convenient argument for him because it enables him to either be the victim and me the villian, or forces me to concede my stance and not reach a true resolution. I was dating someone for about 2.5 years and then we broke up because of COVID and the long distance was making it too difficult to continue. The break up must’ve been like a 4-5 minute FaceTime because I was very distraught.
