Wanted to highlight Prudential Financial’s hiring practices. They rescinded my offer once I attempted to negotiate the salary. The official reason given was that I didn’t “sound excited enough”.
They then admittedly gave the offer to someone who was less qualified. There were other red flags throughout the job offer process that the HR team should overall be ashamed of.

Rising Star
They’re everywhere
Easy, it’s been ingrained in pop culture as classy. Take this Anderson paak song for example:
I been broker way longer than I been rich so until it levels out
Imma take your mama to the Marriott and wear it out
One in the hand one in the bag bubblin

Always going to have a good bed and their worst hotels are better than the rest (even before BCG)
I've checked into a truly awful Fairfield before - water dripping from the bathroom ceiling, mold, bugs crawling over the walls. I noped out when they couldn't give me another room since they were full. They gave me $200 though...
Pro
Because Drake said "I do not stay at the Intercontinental"
Across the legacy Starwood and Marriott brands I’m bound to find something decent in almost any city. Hilton a little more hit or miss in smaller cities.
Bonvoy or bust
Interesting... When they become "bonvoy" they turned to utter trash and their points get worse each year
I like it because I’m a fan of legacy SPG properties
I only did SPG for points, Marriott hotels have always been nicer
If Marriott keeps giving everyone the cold shoulder even with their status with reservations I’m about to switch to Hyatt. I spend money alongside with traveling on the company dime $20k+ a year I better get preferred treatment. Not trying to sound to entitled

The problem with Hyatt is they have a lot fewer properties
