I wanted to start a thread. What vitamins / supplements / medications are you taking for your menopause symptoms? I’m supposed to take Estradiol pills twice per day but sometimes am horrible at remembering. I should be taking D3 per my Doctor but when I ran out earlier in the year I never bought more. They work in different offices, and I don’t know them personally as I’m a junior who started during the pandemic and we generally interact during hectic filings. Any ideas on how to show appreciation in a not weird way?

I suck at this job. I make mistakes all the time and partners get on me about them. It’s not because I try to make mistakes but they just happen, far more frequently than I’d like. I’m a third year so I have no clue how I lasted this long to be honest. My anxiety levels are on a 10 because I’m so used to being an overachiever but my suckiness is standing out big time.

Is it a bad look to accept an offer now and tell the new employer I can only start after the second week of the new year? My current firm gives out bonus at the last week of each year. If I give my notice before the new year, I won’t get the year end bonus. Although it probably won’t be huge, but it’ll certainly be nice to have with all the inflation going on.

Tips for using free time effectively in order to avoid burnout? I had a really tough winter and spring. In the last few months, things have been busy but not all-consuming. I actually have a bit of free time on the weekends/evenings but I’m finding that it doesn’t make me feel refreshed or rested. I don’t really feel like I’m getting mental space from work, even though I can theoretically “unplug” a bit. Any habits or hobbies that help you create balance and separate yourself from work?

Does anyone think “market” and lockstep salaries in biglaw are on their way out? Part of me thinks that DPW and Cravath not matching Milbank are them saying they won’t be bullied and they’re just going to pay what they pay. It’s only natural for firms to go black box from here
