It happens all the time now, it can be for any reason! Don’t overthink, move to another recruiter or next application
Recruiters scatter shot and hope for a win. If they realize they have nothing for you or you’re not a fit for the specific job they’re trying to fill, they forget you exist. Not personal.
Seems like that
Lack of professionalism. The second the job market turned in their favor, all professionalism in the recruitment process went out the window.
So true
Lack of professionalism and the dehumanization of labor. It's sad. I feel bad not replying to all the random recruiters. I tell them all no thanks just out of common decency. I know they don't care, but I do.
The recruiter via their search firm signs an MSA with all law firms they send candidates to. Even when they ghost you, they are essentially adding a high lien $ on your candidacy. Every position you apply to at a firm (even ones the recruiter didn’t submit you to) are tied to the headhunter once you are “tagged” to them for a certain duration, usually six-twelve months
Nothing personal. Annoying. But not personal.
This is happening more and more lately and it drives me insane. I don't know what their motive is but they don't seem to care about follow up at all. Like others said it is a lack of professionalism.
99% of recruiters ghost as soon as they realize you don’t have big law on your resume.
I follow a recruiter who constantly posts positions with the caption “only applicants with ELITE firm experience will receive consideration”. Just leaves such a bad taste in my mouth. I’d never work with her.
