Why is it so difficult when you're obligated to come back to your "hometown" because of the living situation you was in wasn't the safest to find a job?

What am I doing wrong?

You are not doing anything wrong. When you are not safe in an area where you live and work it is time to get out. I lived in a bad neighborhood that only became worse as the years went by. The police were no help because it would take them literally an hour to get there. So, I sold the place and moved back home. After being away for 20 years, home is unrecognizable. I see the same beginning trends that I watched were I lived. I don’t think anywhere is really safe.
But again, you did nothing wrong by moving for your own safety. Find employment that makes you feel safe too.

Thsnk you, that's what I'm trying to do

It's been many years, but I moved back to "town" to avoid a potential threat.
I had a dark cloud that followed, anyway.
I think it's because locally there's "deeper waters" that were further reaching than the horizons of my youth.
So I thought I was returning to safety but end up finding the same elements in town anyway.
It can be difficult when local politics draw those assumptions to your name because of safety protocol and the "tall poppy" atmosphere that small towns have.

Hi cashier/customer service. I guess my understanding of your comment. Is where you were was not safe . So you decided it would be safer to go to home town.
I can say that in this forever changing society a person needs to do what a person needs to do. I compliment you on having the fortitude to take the enishitive to move back.
Some of the most strategic manuvers in war is to retreat regroup and go back at it. In my opinion you are taking this time to regroup before you go back at it . Congratulations

Yeah, that's what I definitely and almost desperately had to do but I know I'll make it

I accepted a FADP offer but I have lifelong crippling anxiety It leads to (TMI) diarrhea, I can’t sleep at night, among a lot of other issues. I see a therapist and have their support in school accom. I appear high functioning and ever since uni went remote my life and performance has only improved. I know I’m capable of getting the work done and they must see potential if they hired me. But I feel that if I ask for WFH or other accom. I’m gonna be shooting myself and my career in the foot.

Do I go to a pyscitatrist whose trained more in pharma or start with therapist. Have done therapy in past without much help.

It’s this terrible feeling of like anguish/unease in my gut, but I don’t have anything I’m worried about- it’s like my body wants to find something to worry about.

I let the shame spiral get the better of me this week. Realized that I wasn’t going to be able to meet a deadline because I’d mismanaged my time and the project was more complex than I though. Rather than admit the mistake and suggest a new deadline, I just kept saying I’d send it tomorrow/later/so on. And then I stayed up basically three days straight working, which has only made me slower and more inefficient. So I’m still not done and now I’m in the pits of anxiety and exhaustion hell. FML.
