You can never go wrong with clear, concise over communication. As a manager this is my #1 ask. Give me information frequently but make it clear.
Following. I'm a month deep in the same situation. Still figuring it out. I'll add that I think it's important it be proactive about developing relationships from the start. I think its easy to go unnoticed in the remote environment.

Try to get onto a very large team if you aren’t already (assuming audit.) They tend to last the majority of the year, so you’ll have consistency as you’re learning the new software/methodology and you’ll have a lot of fellow seniors to ask questions to.
The busy seasons on the really big clients can be brutal, but in my experience they tend to be shorter and they have the easiest off seasons. In my class the people who got staffed to them have lasted the longest.
The advice above on finding ways to network within the firm is pretty critical for long-term success. Having people above you that have your back is how you last beyond 2 years.
