LOS- Tax, retain shows no hours booked for the next few weeks. Asked my coach and he responded not enough work to give all associates 50-55 hours...I haven't received warnings- should I be concerned?

If they let you go, you get unemployment

like

Yes, minimum 2 weeks severance and 1 week extra for every year you're employed. Take the unemployment, get a credential (CFA Level 1, CPA, etc.), then go back to work once your unemployment runs dry.

like

Not at all. Just the part of the cycle where we are over staffed. People will be leaving soon enough and then there will be more work for less people.

like

Thanks for the feedback... Know if they offer severance package?

like

Also depends on your office. If there is a need for more seniors and managers they will put up with more under utilized associates. If those spots are also under utilized it could indicate issues to worry more about

like

They don't fire people. Otherwise half my team would be gone. Go ask around if you can make yourself useful though, especially the teams on the bigger clients. There is plenty of work to be done. I'm at about 80 hours this week. In tax.

Thanks!

Hello! What is the best way to structure a discovery call for SaaS sales? e.g. share a deck, only focus on their use case (current state, goals, pain, etc.), share a story, etc. Lastly, how do you go further than surface level, like if they mention they are having issues with xyz, which is usually a symptom of the problem and not the problem itself. Any info would be appreciated, thanks.

I used to see people who didn't care about current events or politics as intellectually lazy and irresponsible.

However, I feel burnt out on the constant stream of divisive bickering and toxicity.

It feels like ideas don't matter and pragmatism has become a dirty word for both sides.

For the first time in my life, I don't want to know what's happening in the world and I don't care who wins.

Apathy feels good right now.
