What process is everyone going through when getting out of consulting? Here's what I am thinking but honestly - no idea where to start: 1. Identify a few roles (tech program management for me) 2. Tailor resume for each role 3. Find recruiter for that role and reach out for conversation 4. Get someone to refer me in to that role 5. Get interviews? Am I overthinking this? Or missing something?

How long did it take you to find a good exit opportunity? Currently want out of EY as I was put on a long term project with a bad client and working terrible hours (80+ hr including weekends) for a couple of months already. I've put on 50+ apps and been denied to some opportunities already without even a chance at interviewing. Losing hope...
Stay at Deloitte making $105k as a consultant or jump to a smaller industry role for $155k? Jumping to smaller companies ruin future chances of working in tech or big companies?
What are the drawbacks of filing a second I485? For context I’m ROW and filed an EB I485 in May last year (Texas service center so still waiting). I am now eligible to file I485 under the diversity lottery program, that would be faster and no need to stay with my employer after GC
What’s the role of a counsellor at EY GDS ?? Whom should I contact for location transfer ??
Got offered a SAP analyst role at Deloitte. Currently I am working at Spirit In the accounting department. I work less than 40 hours in week and make 57K. Work life balance is ELITE at spirit. The reason I applied to Deloitte was because SAP intrigues me since I’ve used at my current company and technology as a whole intrigues me and where we are headed with it in the future. How many hours will I be working over at Deloitte? Should I leave my current company for Deloitte if they offer 70k?
I know my client needs an Accounting Manager. I know this because they’re startup med device company that has their books in complete shambles. The current accounting team isn’t very strong. How do I let the client know that I would be interested in joining them? They’re not actively recruiting for any position but I know they’d benefit from it. Serious responses only :)
New York. All talk and no action here when it comes to actual inclusion and not cosmetic efforts.
I’m currently in biglaw and interviewing for an in house role. I had an interview with HR where they asked my salary expectations and I basically said I’m flexible but the opportunity is what’s important to me. They then said their targeting x amount for the role and I said that was in the ballpark of what I would consider. Does anyone have experience with this line of questioning from HR and has anyone negotiated for higher than the number they initially said they were targeting?

Our firm is encouraging us to put our gender pronouns in our email sigs as a way to strengthen our allyship to transgender and non-binary folks. For those LGBTQ+ folks, do you consider people who don’t make this indication in their email sigs a sign of not supporting this effort?

Any advice for someone looking to transition into a full HR Generalist role from Recruiting. I’m currently a Campus Recruiter with about 5 years of HR experience (Coordinator- Higher Ed). I received my PHR certification in September 2020 and sitting for my SHRM-CP in two weeks. I’m having a hard time transitioning into a full Generalist position.
In all honesty, I understand people are leaving Big 4 right now because they have decent exit ops or better WLB ops, but what about people working at small/boutique firms making $100-105k as a SC/M? Is it worth it to join a Big 4 if you can potentially get a 20-30% pay increase, i.e. is the increase in salary worth the headache and travel?Deloitte Accenture PwC EY
Does any fish have experience prepping and taking the CAMS exam? I would appreciate any advice on study materials, exam preparation tips, and information about the exam.

Looking to leave big4 and return to the practice of law, preferably in house counsel somewhere. In my search, I notice some of the big4 firms (e.g, PWC) are actually hiring in house legal counsel. Curious to know details about these positions and departments if anyone has insight. Good/bad culture, pay, how you’re evaluated, etc.?
Has anyone went through the Consultant Development Program for Financial Services at EY? I’m interested to know the salary range. (2YOE)
What is it about MBB consultants that makes you all different than Big 4 consultants from a talent perspective and more qualified (to clarify: interviewed for all 3 but didn't get an offer; at D now)
Let’s say things get back to normal by June (unrealistic, but just bear with me). Will companies immediately lift hiring freezes and revert back to BAU? Or will there be a period of residual effects?
Has anyone received an with the expectations to have your home office in City/State 1 then you request to be based in City/State 2? Were you successful?
Just started a new job and still getting a sense of the non-consulting operating flow. For example, I message and ask questions pretty frequently on Slack since this is what I did at McK. However, everyone else responds a little slower here and I don’t want to annoy my new boss. Anyone have any experience transitioning out of consulting? What are some things that were different?
I feel so stuck in my life (28F). I just want to find my person and start building a life together. I feel like I have nothing to look forward to. I just want to create holiday memories with my new family and instead, I’m looking at another season with my dysfunctional as hell family. I know a negative attitude and comparing myself to others isn’t helping me, but I can’t seem to lift myself out of my funk…
