Wondering if there are any commercial underwriting teams out there that are actually properly staffed? We are overloaded and required to document a lot which takes time. The previous underwriting team I worked for was the same way. We need another underwriter or two but the CEO has declined to approve that due to recent loss ratios. We are a regional office but another region is also behind (even more so than our office). Very frustrating and stressful. Is it like this everywhere in insurance?

Hello, I think so. But I like to think of it in a positive way. Happily it’s not the other way around

I think that I have eating disorder. I am always hungry but when I get food I can’t finish it, usually I am done after 2-3 bites and then I am hungry again after an hour. Anyone has similar issues? Have you been to a nutritionist or dietitian? If yes, is it covered by Insurance?

Incoming MBA, I have my tuition paid for and rent covered (I will be an RA). So the only thing I need to pay for is food and entertainment. Do you think 20k is enough to last me through the 2 years? I will make a little money interning in the summer, so that would be a safety valve if I blow through the 20k.

Or… should I take a small loan?

Hi everyone,
One of my friends, he made a switch just 6 months back hoping he would get a better work environment a better package, but now he is just frustrated with the working environment, being a backend developer he has been asked to just fix bugs for almost 5 months now and that too in javascript without any KTs or any other trainings when he clearly did mention in the interview that he does not have prior knowledge on javascript.

What should he do? Any suggestions?
