What should my requested salary be for a Senior Intelligence Analyst position with CrowdStrike ? I have a bachelors degree and 5 years of experience as an intelligence analyst. Current salary is 56k in NC, but when I was in DC I was making 86k (big locality change)… which makes me confused on what I should expect for a remote job.

I know it sounds a little bit silly, but I have a "self care box" in my office. I keep things like lotion, essential oils, meditation beads, and a few other items like a fidget spinner and floam. When I get overwhelmed or anxious or just need a break, I go into the self-care box and just take a few minutes to breathe, relax, meditate. It's silly but it really helps.
I often go for a short walk.
I force myself to get outside on my lunch break. Something about being outside has always been a mind-clearer for me and even if it's raining, I bring an umbrella and step away from my desk for at least 15-30 minutes. I can actually notice my mood change a few minutes into my walk.
I need to do that! So often with the work I do my lunch doesn't even happen. I'm trying to be better with prioritization.
I make a point to take at least one 30 minute walk per day and aim for two if I can find the time for it. I leave my phone at home when I do and am always amazed at how mentally refreshed I feel from a simple screen break spent out in nature.
Love this! I need to get back into walking.
I work remote (for now), and I learned to manage my meetings to ensure I was able to "walk away" at the end of my day. I made sure my boss understood that as well.
I remember working from home and finding that challenging. Good for you setting strong boundaries that your boss respects.
Normally I always put my mobile number on social media platforms were it's in public domain so that those who can't come over to my office physically can call text or WhatsApp this to me bridges the gap.
Do you find that it's overwhelming when people can have direct access to you at all times? Does it ever become to much?
I do a YouTube workout video every day after lunch. Grow With Jo has several 10-15 minute ones that don't require any equipment. The afternoon is my low energy time and it really helps.
I'll have to check it out! Thanks for the information 🙂
