Working with a manager who possess zero design experience and they are setting the deadline for you. This is not cool. Agreed?

I’ve been working with a founder/small biz freelancing as their digital producer for a little bit. I’m having issues lately because they won’t give me a budget for content they want to make for their site/Instagram. I’m worried with the budget gate keeping that we’re going to burn bridges with contacts, especially now that we’re dipping into my personal contacts for content collaboration. Is this normal? How do I get them to give me a budget to work from?

My boss (atty) is so disorganized! I’ve been with him 6 months and he’s having a hard time delegating, sharing info and managing deadlines. I’ve organized the caseload to manage the deadlines. He says he wants me to help with discovery but when I offer to start on one, he says he needs to do it. My Redfin agent recently quit with one day notice to start his own firm. He was the one behind my deal and did a lot of work and help with negotiation. So I am working as a UI UX designer since Jan22. I started with a really good project (everything from the scratch) with research, knowing the user etc. The project went really well. It was my first project that I handled individually. I got another project it also went well.
