I got a call from TCS and suddenly on the same day, they conducted interview. Meeting link has been shared in the WhatsApp from the same person but not in the email. Is it normal? Yup its like she thought washing it more would somehow make it not orange and then tried to say it was bc product buildup which is simply not true I barely use hair product and I don’t use product on my scalp. I don’t use use dry shampoo, or hairspray or styling products which could cause build up and my hair was last washed on Thursday night. Not like I went in with 7 day unwashed hair.
No it happened earlier today, I went to a stylist I haven’t used before. I just needed my roots touched up. I have natural ash brown hair and some greys, roots were about 1/4 an inch grown out. I dye my hair dark brown, professionally. I just asked for a root touch up to match my brown color. In addition to shampooing my hair 4x, my natural hair at the scalp is orange. I just paid and left because I was tired of hearing her excuses.
When she started to shampoo my hair the 3rd time I asked “is everything ok?” - trying to be polite but still express my concern. I said I’d never had my hair shampooed more then 1x to get to wash the dye out. I said I normally only shampoo my hair every other day. After expressing this she continue to shampoo my hair the 4th time. Not much you can do when you are laying back with a head full of suds and water.
After that she conditioned it, rinsed out all the product. Proceeded to blow dry and style.
The reason she gave for shampooing 4x was “product build up” and she asked if I use a lot of hair product, which I don’t. I use a leave in Detangler and an Argan hair oil on the length of my hair only, not the scalp.
Anyways my roots are actually an orange tint now… so obviously she kept shampooing because something was effed up. Not sure how you can turn natural ash brown hair orange when using a pigment (and it was definitely pigment not bleach).
Mainly just wanted to know I was right about questioning her shampooing my hair. She was gaslighting me when I asked questions.
Kept trying to upsell me services throughout the entire appointed when I stated from the onset, I was just wanting my roots touched up to match my length.
Oh no, this is not good. Will you let them know? Can totally understand if you don’t have the energy. I‘d probably go to another place and ask what could have caused this. Hope it’s better soon
