No, I’d wait for stability.
Thank you!
That is so tough! My gut says I would wait for stability also. Thats just being in a partnership, there are trade offs.
The other challenge is, and something I have really come to realize is that there is ALWAYS going to be something going on or a reason that makes things difficult so don’t let that hold you back too long. Without knowing the true details and just the surface situation I think it would be fair and make sense to let him find something and then once he feels its a good fit you could at least begin looking. The benefit you have is that it is YOUR choice and you can be strategic! Just don’t put it off too long ❤️
Thank you! He keeps telling me it’s fine if I want to look but he’s always optimistic to the point of not considering real issues that could, and sometimes do, arise, and of course I’m the opposite because I don’t want to let us get in a bad spot. I think it makes sense to wait but don’t want to let fear control the situation forever.
No. It's an horrific market to find a job in right now. I have an insanely good resume and over a decade in my field and I can barely land an interview.
This is the other part of my concern. I also have a good resume and have had trouble getting any call backs, which makes me also feel like why would I settle for something just to make a change. I’m sorry you’re having such a hard time :(

I didn’t even have to read the words after “because”
You’ve been in that job too long after year four
And you are frustrated and afraid now because your complacency is being challenged
Snap out of it sis
Start looking for other opportunities
Nothing you shared changes my answer
