My first manager told me this, and I’ve followed it to a T since.

Throughout my career, I have worked at both “traditional” and “digital” shops. My current agency would fall under traditional but also offers digital services. Our process, roles and skillsets seem way outdated but I wasn’t sure if it was just my opinion or if this is just how it works. For example, we have no CTO or tech leads. Our digital producers feel more like project managers than actual producers. Account Management is just traditional, no real digital knowledge. Feels layered and dated.

Love the intellectual variety, smart colleagues, flexibility (WFH has let me take occasional 2-3h windows during the day for personal activities) - can’t take the stress anymore. Are WFH industry roles at the $300-500k TC level really that much less stressful?

I was at Big 4 consulting for a year before lateraling to ACN recently. It’s been about 6 months at ACN. Now I have an industry offer for Product Manager, which has been my eventual goal. Would it be too soon to jump? Or should I stick around for better exits in a couple of years may be? I’m worried the frequent changes won’t look good on my resume
4 YOE overall, TC at Product Manager is about 20-25k > ACN.

For questions as to why you are looking to leave your current firm.. I am looking to move because for some reason I am hand-held a lot and given simpler tasks, so I am getting bored and want more challenging / much more fast paced environment. Also kind of bored because I am on one project for a long time and I want exposure to variety of projects. Is this a fair answer or would I be seen as arrogant? I was just talking to a younger friend who goes to Cal and It seems like the kids these days hate FAANG or at least Amazon and Facebook are not desired at all. I personally don’t see too many issues working at either Amazon or Facebook because I work at Deloitte where I’m sure we have many questionable clients and worked in financial services before.
