Wow, being remote and then getting laid off over an email is easily the most dehumanising thing. Suddenly, I was logged out of my Slack and teams channels, and I'm a nobody to this company I worked for 1.8 years. It was hard enough that I had no good connections at work because I was remote, but to completely be cut off from them since my only communications with them was on Teams and Slack is sad. Maybe I'll try to find them on LinkedIn if I can remember full names. obody... absolutely nobody ... cares.

Put on a PIP due to my manager stating “they don’t feel like they know me, due to my camera not being on” during meetings larger meetings. If you thought consulting was archaic and bureaucratic, you haven’t experienced tech.
