I did something really similar a couple years ago. I can't remember if I replied all or included the wrong list on an email, but my inbox was blowing up all day and I was so embarrassed about it. The embarrassment goes away in a couple days, but if you're like me, you'll be quadruple checking every email you send from now on.
I’ve definitely been there! It’s so easy to hit the wrong button and then panic when you realize it. I’m sure people understand it was an honest mistake, but I totally get feeling awkward about it. I just took a deep breath, learned from it, and moved on. You’ll be fine!
I once sent a birthday e-card meant for my manager to one of our clients instead. Awkward, but we all laughed it off. These things happen, especially when you’re managing a high volume of communication.
It happens, I know a lot of people who have replied all or done something similar. Best thing you can do is learn from it and move on. Don't beat yourself up about it because its not like you did it on purpose.
it's good that you owned up to it and apologized. i would feel the same way and cant shake it off. but it's a learning and you take the learning for next time.
I have done it, and it is a mind game they use with emails to embarass you and get your thoughts for the sake of their company. They do it to frame you. So take it for what it is and realize that your honesty in that email, may have actually helped the culture.
