Deloitte PPMDs, I can't figure out why D would not just reduce the number of temporary visa workers under H1B program vs. firing 5% of its workforce that are probably mostly US citizens. As seen here, D got approved for 57,259 temporary visas. Please explain.

For those who have to perform separations of professionals at your company, do you have any pre-post separation routines? I always make sure to block time, before and after, so I can take some time to take a brief walk for 5 mins or go grab a coffee, so I can decompress. Curious what others do? I’ll admit doing these by video conference during WFH is going to be worse than normal - imagine having your spouse or kids within earshot, or maybe even in the same room, if you got separated....
